Question Description
For this assignment, students will explore gender and leadership firsthand. Experiential exercises such as this provides a unique opportunity for students to learn in such a way that it moves them from a passive to an active participant in the learning process. There are three (3) parts to this assignment – the experience itself, a 2-3-page Executive Summary, and sharing a 2-3-minute overview during class.
- Analyze a Film or DocumentarySelect and review a film or documentary that deals with an aspect of women in leadership and write a 2-3-page Executive Summary that summarizes your learnings. Your summary should include the following: (1) a brief synopsis of the story and depiction of main characters; (2) the context in which the story is set, including specific examples pertaining to gender and leadership; (3) describe what we can learn from the film about gender and leadership; (4) integrate your analysis with the knowledge gained in this course; and (5) your biggest takeaway from the film and how its ideas will inform your own leadership and gender perspectives.Suggested titles:
